In the early 2000s, Sanjeev Bikhchandani, the founder of Info Edge Ltd. was looking for new avenues of growth at Info Edge. As a new age, profitable venture, betting on the future of the Indian economy seemed like the obvious next step. With a tech DNA and first-hand entrepreneurial experience, Info Edge set out to invest in tech-based startups across sectors. Successful early investments in renowned Indian companies like Zomato and PolicyBazaar spurred the team to double down on startup investing and set up InfoEdge Ventures in 2019, supported by Temasek.
